Gone are the days where universities make admissions decisions based on test scores rather than student background, ambition and drive to succeed. As such, Immaculata University is test optional for all majors, including nursing and allied health. In fact, more than 70% of the Fall 2022 incoming traditional freshman class did not submit SAT or ACT scores when applying for admission, so students began their studies in a pressure-free environment.
Immaculata is proud of the accomplishments of our graduates, and we help them stay connected to the Immaculata community. This strong network of caring alumni who work in business, healthcare, education, sports, fashion, music and all sorts of other careers enables students to build their personal networks and gain real-world career insights from Mighty Macs working in their aspirational fields!
Our students are our greatest asset, and the outcomes of their educational journeys are the greatest indicator of success in our mission. Based upon Immaculata University’s history of originally serving women, our evolution to a co-educational model, and our core value of community (especially our respect for diversity), a key component of our identity is educational inclusion. Immaculata seeks to be inclusive while striving to nurture the spiritual, moral, intellectual and social/physical wellbeing of all our community members and placing the highest value on student outcomes. Likewise, as Immaculata University is committed to “formation of the whole person for leadership and service, and empowerment of all to seek truth, promote justice and engage in dialogue between faith and culture,” we instill in students the powers to fulfill their personal goals and to support others.
With 21 NCAA Division III varsity sports to choose from–plus a co-ed Esports team–student-athletes have ample opportunity to showcase their athletic talent. Thirty percent of our undergraduate students choose to represent Immaculata in a sport or multiple sports, and IU has a championship legacy, including national championship trophies won by the 1972, 1973, and 1974 Mighty Macs women’s basketball teams!
